Demand charges are billed on the highest 30-minute draw in the month, not the average.

Multi-site rollouts across a portfolio: portfolio rollouts →

Demand charges
Billed on the highest 30-minute draw rather than total consumption. One half-hour sets the month.
Peak tariffs
Time-of-use rates are highest in the hours industrial load peaks.
Solar exported at near-zero value
Under most commercial feed-in tariffs, midday export returns close to nothing.
Outage exposure
Without storage on site, an outage stops production.

Peak shaving

Charging happens off-peak or from on-site solar. Discharge covers the half-hours that set the demand charge.

Grid draw, no storage
With storage discharging
Demand charge avoided

Scaling

Up to 12 TIANWU units in multi-AC coupling, giving roughly 1.2 MW and 2.8 MWh from one standardised unit.

1 unit → 12 units, linear

Integration

AC-coupled to existing solar, so the array is not rewired. Off-grid operation with a diesel generator is also supported.

Monitoring & control

Pangu OS as standard. Third-party EMS integration is supported through AZZO, Mondo, SwitchDin and ECOAXON.

Warranty

The warranty is issued by WHES, not by Principal Energy. 15-year design life and 86% average round-trip efficiency. Claims are lodged and followed up by Principal Energy.
